2010 Travel Support for International Conference / Affiliated Organization Visit

Global COE for Mechanical Systems Innovation Secretariat

The Global COE program "Mechanical Systems Innovation" is accepting applications for travel support for presenting at international conferences and/or for the purpose of visiting collaborators or affiliated organizations.
* Applications are only accepted by email.

Please apply according to the following procedure:
1. The applicant (RA) should fill out the application form and email the file (along with any other necessary documents) to their faculty advisor.

【Documents Required for Application】
* Travel support application form (Word version)
* Travel support application form (Excel version)
* Airline ticket estimate and itinerary (from co-op is best)
* Acceptance letter from conference organizers
* Invitation letter or confirmation of visit (only if visiting institution abroad)

2. After checking and approving the application, the faculty advisor submits the application by email attachment to gmsi-office@mechasys.jp
3. The RA and the faculty advisor will be notified of the acceptance or denial by the GMSI secretariat.
4. The RA will be contacted regarding travel procedures if travel support is granted.

• Travel procedures cannot commence prior to notification that travel support has been granted.
• Applications are only accepted from a faculty advisor.
Applications submitted directly by the RA will not be accepted.
In addition to verification of the application, any comments from the faculty advisor are welcomed.

To be submitted before departure:
-Finalized itinerary

-Repayment form
立替払請求書.xls (this can also be submitted after returning, but submission before your departure is preferred)


To be submitted after returning:
-Boarding passes for all legs of all flights (photocopies not accepted)
-Receipt of payment of conference registration fee (or credit card statement confirming payment)
-Copy of program of proceedings showing your conference contribution (send by email)
-Report on outcome of conference/visit (send by email)
