Title：Scientific and Technological Activities in Vietnam

Summary：
Vietnam intends that science and technology should be one of the components of the nation’s socio-economic development. To achieve this trend, Vietnam has to solve two problems: the first is human resource development related and the second is technology transfer in order to shorten the distance of the world's science and technology. Priority objective of this speech is to obtain a better understanding of science and technology in Vietnam. Speech focusses on specific issues such as:
- Current scientific and technological capacities in Viet Nam; ability to acquire, adapt and master new technology with particular emphasis on the role of technology transfer.
- Discussion on the effectiveness of technology development and technology transfer.
- Environmental sustainability of existing and new technologies.
- Discussion on the world’s scientific and technological issues, trends and factors with long-term influence on the development of Viet Nam’s socio-economic development.
- Market-based incentives for science and technology development, science and technology development financing, innovation and international collaboration”
